In this video, we travel over a few of the most stunning roads Norway has to offer. We start the video at the Atlantic Ocean Road, after which we drive the famous Trollstigen and the not-so-well-known, but maybe prettiest road Aursjøvegen.
Atlantic Ocean Road
As the sun sets on the Atlanterhavsveien, the Atlantic Ocean Road, we start our vlog. The road is 8,3 kilometres long and runs through an archipelago near Kristiansund. The road twists and turns as it goes over bridges connecting all of these small islands. The road is very famous for its beautiful coast and has been declared the most beautiful tourist route in the world several times. However, it can be hard to see all this beauty until you are a little bit higher up (like one of those bridges) or, even better, by using a drone.
It’s a special time to drive the road, just before sunset. It gave the road and the views something magical.
Trollstigen
The Trollstigen is a very famous route, which is known for its steep and winding road that leads up a mountain. At the top of the pass, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. But the drive itself is the biggest attraction. The thrill of those turns and twists while you go up the mountain and see some stunning views is unbelievable. And on both sides, you have waterfalls going down, attracting your eye at any angle.
Once we were on the top, we went to the viewpoint where you see out over the valley and can see the whole road you just drove. It was a magnificent moment as it was sunny when we arrived, and became cloudy not much later. It was a really special sight to see the clouds come in.

Aursjøvegen
The last pretty road we drove was the Aursjøvegen. We actually rode this one the day before the Trollstigen. And while we loved the Trollstigen, the Aursjøvegen was even better!
Aursjøvegen means Aursjø road, and it is a very scenic drive through Møre og Romsdal. The path winds its way through the rugged terrain offering a thrilling journey full of small, winding roads featuring tight hairpin turns and tunnels that add to the excitement of the ride. With each turn, we were treated to new breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, revealing new layers of natural beauty and dramatic scenery.
We really recommend this road to motorhome travellers seeking a unique driving experience; this path is a must-see destination. Its winding roads and hairpin turns are sure to satisfy even the most daring of drivers, while the incredible views make it an unforgettable journey. We would not recommend doing this road in high season with a big motorhome, but in spring or autumn, it’s definitely possible if you are a good driver.
